14th December 2023 Hiking - Walking: Landguard circuit Wind Direction: Wind Stength: Surf / Sea State: Air Temperature: 6 Sea Temperature: Weather: cloudy and chilly Max Speed: Distance Covered: Thursday 14th December - walk ** – Landguard circuit including lunch - cloudy and chilly. Had an amazing sunrise this morning but we only saw it through our back bedroom window, missed a real treat, can’t win them all, the sun was short lived as it quickly cloudy turning into a dull depressing day, chilly too:( We certainly made the most of the day, exercises, followed by getting the house ready as our Grandson is arriving for an early Christmas, we made a huge shepards pie, despite the gloom I packed a picnic and after washing the floor we drove down to Landguard for a walk before doing a big shop at Lidl. It was very quiet at Landguard, mainly just us and loads of bunnies. With a chilly breeze blowing across the River Orwell we sat behind the concrete shelter for lunch, we did not stay long before returning to the van. Photo Album here |
